We are gearing up for a fun-filled, pleasant and successful event this year on Saturday June 4, and Sunday June 5.

The celebration begins with a community parade, dinner and movie on Friday, June 3. The parade begins at 7:00 pm (meet at 6:30 pm). At 7:30 pm we begin the neighborhood (bring ID) and volunteers party featuring a dinner and outdoor movie (at Inman Middle School field at Virginia Ave. and Greencove). Volunteers are also invited to participate in the neighborhood parade.

Not only is Summerfest a fun-filled community event, it is also the principal fund-raiser for the Virginia-Highland Civic Association, allowing the Association to sponsor numerous community activities and causes-many of which touch the lives of children, the elderly, friends and neighbors.

Last year, we had a record fundraising year. We plan to bet bigger and even better this year, but to do so, we need your help!

As a volunteer, we ask that you donate between 3-4 hours of your time either on Friday, Saturday or Sunday or any combination of those days. In return, you will receive a Summerfest T-shirt (value $15) for your participation and the opportunity to join friends and family for a wonderful day.
