Saturday/Sunday Events Are Open to General Public.  Free Admission, Donations Greatly Appreciated

SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENTS
The community/volunteers dinner and outdoor movie will be held Friday, June 3rd at 7:30 pm. ID check and entrance to the dinner is at the corner of Virginia and Greencove.

This year, if you want to watch the parade, you can get dinner tickets at the top of the parade route, making it easier to watch and go straight to the dinner.

• Parade: Friday night before the dinner (see details below). Prizes, including family passes to Georgia Aquarium, will be awarded.


• Dinner: Bring ID to verify residency in Va-Hi. Location is Inman Middle School field.


• Movie: The movie in 2011 will be “Megamind” and will begin at dusk (approximately 8:45pm).
  
  
• Acoustic Street Party: Will be held at Virginia-Highland Island on Friday, June 3rd from 8:00pm to 11:00pm and on Saturday, June 4th from 9:00pm to 11:00pm

NEIGHBORHOOD PARADE!
This year, the theme is “Send in the Circus.” So go crazy and dress-up like your favorite circus performer or animal, and if you can perform while walking the parade, even better! The parade route begins at the top of Drewry (meet at Ace Hardware), proceeds down Drewry, right onto Barnett and straight into the dinner line at Inman Field (about 0.6 miles). This year, you can get dinner tickets at the top of the parade route, making it easier to watch and go straight to the dinner.

Meet at Ace Intown Hardware (Drewry/N. Highland) on Friday June 3rd at 6:30pm to register. We’ll get started promptly at 7:00pm and end up at the neighborhood dinner at the Inman School field, where prizes will be awarded.
