Neighborhood Preservation Committee
The Neighborhood Preservation Committee seeks to preserve the existing character of the Virginia Highland residential areas through the establishment of guidelines determined by a collaborative process involving residents and businesses. There is a wealth of diversity among the historically significant residential and commercial architecture in the neighborhood. Our primary objective will be to preserve the look and feel of the neighborhood and streetscapes, without dictating specific styles. Direct input from the residents and property owners will be used to develop area-specific historic district overlay zoning regulations.
